Our Click & Collect Service
February 23, 2023Good evening folks!
I hope you’ll drop by and see me on the Continental Market between 16th and 19th March in Crawley Town Centre.
I’m at Salfords Village Hall for a craft and gift fair on 11th March, however I won’t have my crystal and jewellery collection with me; however if you wanted to come and see me here to buy crystal, you can use the click and collect function on the website and I’ll bring it with me for you to pick up in person.
How does Click and Collect work?
Like you would with Amazon, fill your basket up with the stuff you love and click on the basket icon to go to the checkout. Scroll down to where you see the ‘Shipping’ options and tick the box that says ‘Tick this to pick up your order in Crawley’
I’m happy to take your items to fairs or markets I’ll be at, especially if they are closer to where you live or easier to get to than coming to Langley Green.
How does payment work?
You enter your credit or debit card information when prompted to.
What happens to card information?
Our payment gateway is managed by Tyl by Natwest. Natwest takes payment on our behalf, so when you checkout, they’ll take you off our website and onto theirs before asking for your card number. This means that we never see your card informaiton, and it isn’t stored on our website anywhere. This is also a 3D secure service, so Natwest will contact your bank, who may ask you to verify that it’s you before Natwest takes payment. Natwest processes all card payments they’ve taken on our behalf, and pays us on the next working day. This means that no matter how many card transactions they process on our behalf, they pay us just one payment to our bank that only shows that it came from them.
This means that we can uphold confidentiality and follow the law in terms of data protection, in addition to protecting your consumer and statutory rights. If you were unhappy with your service and it couldn’t be resolved, you could take it up with your card issuer and get your money back; unlike if you transferred money via bank transfer, or sent money via friends and family on Paypal.
Is our website secure?
We keep our SSL certificate up to date on our website. This is a bit of code on our web server that provides extra security and enables an encrypted connection between your browser and our website. On our site, this protects any personal information, such as login info, passwords and email addresses. How do I check that a website has an SSL certificate if I’m not tech savvy? If you look at where the url is at the top of the page, it should have a closed padlock. Also, if you double-click on it, it will show you the full address. A secure site will start with https, like ours: https://www.somethingwiccan.co.uk/
Insecure sites will have http instead of https. Just for a bit of extra re-assurance, our IT person is currently doing a masters degree in Cyber Security.
If you’ve made it this far without falling asleep, thank you! We also protect our site with witchcraft 😉
I hope to see you in person next month!
Blessed be
Saranne
