Angelite Tumblestone

Description

Angelite is a soft crystal and is around 3.5 on Mohs hardness scale and is a soft calcium sulfate mineral. Because of the softness, this is hand-mined in Peru with workers at local lapidary factories in Lima, carving wands, eggs, and animals by hand. Angelite is a lilac-blue anhydrite, a type of evaporite crystal where gypsum stones have been in contact with water which has then evaporated, leaving the angelite crystals behind.
