Obsidian is an igneous stone formed from lavas rich in the elements that form feldspar and quartz. The glass like texture comes from rapid cooling with prevents crystals from forming. In this way, Obsidian isn’t a true crystal and is a type of glass.

Not including the sterling silver loop, this pendant is approximately 3.4 cm in length and roughly 7 mm in width. As these are made from a natural crystal, the size may vary slightly by a millimeter. Comes with a hallmarked 20″ (50 cm) sterling silver snake chain.
