These jade puff hearts are a lot thicker than the rose quartz hearts that we have in stock, and are a lot heavier.
These Nephrite Jade crystal hearts vary between light, and darker colours of green. Nephrite jade isn’t translucent like jadite, and often comes with black spots.
Nephrite was used for centuries in Spain as a healing crystal for body pain and is used today to bring calmness and clarity of mind.
Nephrite jade is only found and mined in Australia. Australia has a large, mined deposit of nephrite at Cowell, South Australia and a smaller one near Tamworth, New South Wales. Tamworth nephrite is generally lighter in colour than Cowell material.The black spots you can see are iron depoisits. The darker the nephrite, the more iron it has. The white bandings and lighter colours are due to calcium deposits.
